I plan to color this soon. ;w; Ooh, Skies of Arcadia <3 I love this game so much. Esepcially for the Dreamcast, because it looked so crisp and pretty. The Dreamcast was just awesome in general though.

So anyway, air pirates, anyone?

Looks Toon Link like. I like that.

This drawing perfectly sums up what made SoA stand out from other 3D RPGs: the heroes actually acted like they were on a fun adventure rather that constantly whining about it (I'm looking at you, Cloud), which made the player a lot more motivated to explore and play around.

Vyse: Look guys, a map!
Aika: I bet it leads to all sorts of treasure and gold and stuff!
Fina: B- but what if it's guarded by traps and monsters?
Dog thing I can't remember what it's called: Arf!
Cupil: Aye, I spy some of Vyse's booty right there. And it's not gold, if you get my drift.

Or something. I love this so much, it's deliciously chunky and crisp at the same time.

Yeah, it was such a fun RPG! Actually, I played SoA before I ever picked up a FF game. Skies of Arcadia will always be on the top of my RPG list, no matter how many FF games I play. ^_^
I keep trying to play the FF games, but after a few hours I always get bored of the angst and annoyingly bitchy characters. So I usually stick with non-Square-Enix RPGs, like Shadow Hearts (Well, just SH2, but it's delightfully silly and appeals to my inner history-geek. That, and a gay vampire wrester) and Shin Megame Tensei: Nocture/Lucifer's Call (sort of like Pokémon for adults, except it's frustratingly hard). But SoA is still my absolute favorite. Have you heard the rumours about a sequel? Some german gaming magazine claimed back in May that it will be revealed later this year, so we'll just have to hold our thumbs and wait.

Yeah, out of the FF games, I've only finished FF10 and FF12. I really liked both of them-- but I've never finished any of the other ones. I've played SMT: Nocture before, but it kept giving me headaches, and I didn't know what I was doing. xDD It seemed like a neat RPG though.

Oh yeah, I've heard rumors of that! Lets hope that if the do make a sequel, it will be a good one. I hate seeing characters I love get thrown into a crappy stories. >_<
SMT: Nocture is the most frustrating RPG I've played in a while, and also ridiculously hard until you get the hang of it. I mostly play it for the awesome enviroments and 'cause I'm a sucker for mythology.

It's not really a sequel, but Vyse and Aika (and probably Fina as well) are making a cameo in Overworks' upcoming game Valkyria Chronicles. It's not an RPG, but at least it's nice to see them again. And it has tanks.
